Caught in Nagoya
The journey through Nagoya was over (but not without first visiting the golden arches and a teriyaki burger to eat - would be something for the Asia-weeks D!) ... Now it was said the way back to compete with the Shinkanzen and back for me already the tickets for the trip to Korea to get.
As the use of a German credit card (MasterCard, VISA, etc.) is somehow excluded in Japan (Global Cash? How was the ???), because the local banks and authorities who fear the dark ... uh ... have against money laundering and the use of a local map is not always without Another possible (because schonmal calls to the bank and ask what you intend to buy because there at all ... and woe to the new car has a color that does not like the "president" of the bank!), we went to the Search for an ATM that accepts the credit card my brother without a murmur, because we no longer had enough cash for the tickets.
First we tried it at a cash machine at the station. He accepted the card is simply not my brother. Good. Uh, bad. But there's also the local post office, which also have ATMs and finally take on each card. (Unfortunately, we walked by on the way to the station already in post and the 10 minutes were allowed to travel there again.) booted in the offices of the Post Office to a vending machine, card in, card out, huh? card in, card out, how? card in, card out ... These machines do not accept the card at a time! (The account is set!)
A desperate phone call to the bank brought the realization that my brother can come only to those ideas! So this fall a normal human indeed never in my life! Tstststs ... Really! Well, I never ... Because he wanted to really take off on a Sunday after 1600h money from a machine other than his own bank! Unbelievable! Who would do something like this! (Something like that was probably the text of the called bankers ...)
Since we were now without money. Handzurrende company would have had even enough money to my brother and me pay for the trip to his apartment, but we still had to get my tickets for tomorrow's return ... Of course, everyone would say now, are confined to the bank from your brother! Right. Unfortunately there is no branch in Nagoya, there is a village bank is that only has offices in Yokohama (my brother was obliged to be content with that bank account open).
Okay, now contends guarantees that we must keep the tickets with the money to Yokohama handzurrender Accompaniment and get cash while in Yokohama money to buy the tickets for tomorrow. Good idea! The only catch: until we had been back in Yokohama, would have closed the village bank and ticket counters! (And "closed" also means that all machines are shut and locked!)
In other words, HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILFEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!!!!!!
Caught in Japan, no chance of a return. rebook the flight was excluded because it had traded at a discount offer (everything else was priceless, and finally July and August is vacation season).
Whether this desperate Location of course we thought of a solution together. My brother was the view that we should still try at the machine in a supermarket, which take almost all the cards. This view was however refused by the handzurrender accompaniment to her was a brilliant idea: we go to the police!
My brother and I exchanged a meaningful look that could dissuade handzurrende support but not its action. (I was told that in Japan all the time about everything to the police runs. To combat crime, the Japanese police in the absence of any guns or sticks, as these are much too dangerous, not especially well-suited ...) The policemen at the station (to which we return again had boots) were of the opinion that it was probably best to go to the post office or in a supermarket, because the company almost every card! (Hm .. écoute déjà??)
So we went on the way to the supermarket, but not without a brief interruption. (Can you shorten that? About by "HFE", "hand frapping escort"?) Handzurrende accompanied a passing police officer asked for a supermarket, even though our target was already in sight ...
The upshot is explained by itself, if I tell you, my blog that I currently update from the office in Korea ...
